Davenport resident Mike Higgins poses for a portrait during a protest against ICE at the University of Iowa Pentacrest on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, following the second fatal shooting in Minneapolis by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer this month. Higgins came with his daughter, saying that his family has been “fighting facisim” since 1940, and that he is currently protesting to show his dissatisfaction for what is going on with ICE.
